CIB: GDP could grow by 4-5 percent this year
The Hungarian economy may expand at a rate of 4-5 percent this year, despite the expected inflation rate of around 10 percent, a senior analyst at CIB Bank told at a news conference in Budapest on Wednesday.
Mariann Trippon noted that the war in Ukraine and the emergency measures introduced in the event of an emergency have fundamentally rewritten this year’s macroeconomic trajectory, with the outlook marked by greater uncertainty than usual. In the structure of growth in 2022, consumption will be the main driving force, she indicated. (MTI)
