A few weeks ago, the amazing ice cream specialties of Roberto Cukrászda from Tatabánya became popular on the Internet. Parisian, chili bean, or meatloaf ice cream is not only special, but also popular: the pastry shop sells hundreds of scoops of these flavors every day. But how are these ice creams made and what do the guests say about them? This is what Telex found out when it visited Roberto Cukrászda and tasted the range.

At first glance, everything seems normal in the elegantly decorated patisserie on the edge of town: long counters full of traditional ice creams, cakes, savory cookies and marzipan figurines. The real surprise comes when we get closer to one of the ice cream counters. Here you can find special flavors such as lecsó, tócsni, dill-sheep’s cottage cheese, scrambled eggs with bacon, nokedli, carbonara, pickled cucumber, beer and lemon beer, mashed potatoes, and parisier.

Savory ice creams are served in the same way as traditional flavors: the Parisian ice cream is a thick slice of Parisian ice cream, and the mashed potato ice cream is decorated with a large piece of meatloaf. On top of the counter, a large cup announces: “For the craziest ice cream maker”.

The guests’ opinions are divided about the extreme flavors. A man who works as a greengrocer has not tried pickled cucumber ice cream, saying that he knows exactly what real pickled cucumbers taste like. Another guest tried the ice cream, but in pain he could only laugh and shake his head violently. A third man found the ice cream too salty, while others stick with classic flavors like Raffaello ice cream.
