Chat and Co.
We often hear about community media and probably many Facebook, Twitter, Iwiw, YouTube or Wikipedia users would not be able to define the term. The term defines communication tools which are available to the public. Websites that belong to this category not only provide information but they engage in interaction as well – it is two-way communication. This dialogue can be simply commenting a news article but also something much more complex. According to one kind of grouping six types of community media exist: 1. projects that involve lots of people – Wikipedia; 2. blogs and microblogs – Twitter; 3. content sharing communities – YouTube; 4. social networking sites – Facebook; 5. virtual games – Café World, Restaurant City; 6. virtual worlds – Second Life.
