Ceres ZRt.: Sustainability milestone on the roof of the Győr plant
Ceres ZRt. has set its sights on sustainability and innovation, installing nearly two thousand solar panels on the roof of its Győr plant. The investment implemented in recent months will reduce the electricity demand of the more than 70-year-old bakery company by 20-25%, while significantly reducing the company’s carbon footprint.
Ceres ZRt.’s investment is not only about economy, but also about the future. The installation of the 880 kWp/850 kVA rated power solar panel system clearly indicates the company’s commitment to sustainable operations.
“The installation of solar panels is an important milestone in the life of our company. This new system allows us to get closer to our sustainability goals, while optimizing our energy consumption and reducing our ecological footprint,”
– emphasized István Mikos, CEO of Ceres Zrt.
The company has already placed great emphasis on increasing energy efficiency and modernizing production processes. With the solar system, they have now taken another step towards implementing a more sustainable baking model.
