The purpose is to make small farms viable
The Hungarian government aims to make small farms viable – Nagy István, Parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture said at the 20th Tiszántúli Plant Protection Forum.
He spoke about the government measures taken so far and emphasized that the land law is designed to provide small farmers a strong presence among the shareholders. Their ratio to be 80-20 percent against the big plants. He stressed, however, that the small and large plants do not work against each other, they need to help each other. (MTI)
