CBA
Since early 2016 Vilmos Lázár has been sitting in the presidential seat of CBA instead of László Baldauf. The new leader brought a new strategy with him, in the spirit of the motto ‘Individual success is only possible if the team is successful.’ The role and tasks of franchise owner CBA Trade Kft. were separated from the level of regions and stores that do retail work. The parent company continues to perform the tasks related to the CBA and Príma networks. President Vilmos Lázár told: he hopes that the result of the restructuring will be a very efficient centre and much more resources for the regions.
Another major change is that a new company was established, called Partner Log Trade Kft., and the BBK Group was dissolved. CBA wants to establish close ties with local food producers. For instance in Nógrád County they started the Local Grower Communities programme, as a result of which local farm produce is purchased by CBA stores. On 17 May 2016 Hungary’s most modern Wholesale Market opened in Szeged – the 12,000m² hall also houses CBA’s country-level wholesale market.
Last year CBA revamped its online shop, so that customers get the highest level of service. The online shop is now called Onlinepríma, it is easy to use and delivery fees are affordable. Also last year CBA installed utility bill payment machines in 66 stores. CBA also does a lot for people that need help, for instance it sponsors the Save Lives Foundation, which helps children with cancer and popularises blood donation. In the autumn CBA and the foundation organised a spectacular programme for children who are treated in hospital or have just recovered from a serious illness. (x)
