The island of Capri inspired Peroni’s new super premium lager
Peroni is introducing an easy-to-drink lager with a Mediterranean feel to it, in line with trends. The characteristic taste of Peroni Nastro Azzurro Stile Capri is made even more unique by the extract of premium quality Italian lemon and olive leaf.
“Easy-drinking beers are showing double-digit growth in both volume and value worldwide, just like in Hungary”
– states Judit Mocsári, senior brand manager of international brands. Based on this consideration, Peroni decided to target this segment, currently mostly dominated by American and Mexican beers.
Peroni Nastro Azzurro Stile Capri is made in Italy with excellent ingredients, expertise and passion. The grains give a clear and mild color to Stile Capri, which – for the first time in Peroni’s history – is bottled in colorless bottles. In order to avoid the appearance of the “light taste”, an additional step was included in the cooking stage. For this reason, ultraviolet rays cannot initiate reactions that adversely affect the taste in individual elements of hops. The characteristic taste of the golden juice is made even more unique by the olive leaf extract, which is added during the brewing process, and by the extract of the premium quality Italian lemon, which is added to the beer during filtration. Apart from the above extras, the production technology of the Stile Capri is the same as that used for the Peroni Nastro Azzurro, thus ensuring the usual outstanding quality.
