Gábor Buday on the renewal of Gundel

Danubius Hotels Nyrt. bought the remaining one third of Gundel Kft.’s ownership share from LL Partners, L.P. Both the management of Gundel Kft. and the restaurant remain unchanged. According to Gábor Buday, managing director of Gundel Kft., administrative changes can be expected. They are looking for ways of profiting from belonging to a large company. He is sure that they need to improve their marketing activity. In his opinion, judging a dish or the quality of service is a subjective thing and he cannot accept criticism from a certain group of people, even more so because prestigious foreign journals defy this criticism. Their new menu will keep an eye on world trends and they will try to target the younger generation as well. However, this moderate repositioning will be implemented with traditional Gundel values in mind.
