Budapest press event to promote the consumption of European vegetables and persimmons
The “MEDITERRANEAN COMBO” information campaign aimed at promoting the consumption of European fruits and vegetables is entering a more active phase in Hungary.
The second promotional press event of the MEDITERRANEAN COMBO program was held this year. On March 24, 2023, in the Hotel Helia Uranus hall, opinion leaders, buyers and agricultural distributors received information about the products promoted within the framework of the European campaign called MEDITERRANEAN COMBO.
The participants were able to learn a lot about the topic
During the event, Nikos Triantafyllopoulos, sales manager of Anatoli agricultural cooperative in Ierapetra, Crete, and Lluis Perez, marketing manager of the Spanish persimmon association, presented the products, production units and export directions to the audience. The guest lecturer at the event was nutritionist Orsolya Igar, who provided valuable information on the nutritional value of fruits and vegetables and the beneficial physiological effects of their consumption. In addition, Doukas Marinopoulos, Chief Economic and Trade Counselor of the Embassy of Greece in Budapest, graced the event with his presence, who briefly welcomed the attendees. After the performances, the guests enjoyed a special lunch made of European vegetables and fruits.
The main goal is to support sales
The program entitled “Mediterranean Combo – high-quality fruits and vegetables from Europe” – whose broader theme is “information and promotional measures regarding fruits and vegetables in the EU internal market” – aims at vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and eggplants) and fruits (persimmons). promoting its sales in Greece, Spain and Hungary. The aim is to spread consumer knowledge about the quality and safety of European fruits and vegetables, and to encourage the sale and export of the products.
