The Treasures of Regions program also started in Budapest
From now on, the high-quality Hungarian products of domestic small businesses, producers, craft companies, small wineries and breweries have become available not only in the country’s six regions, but also in Budapest, which will be placed on the shelves of SPAR Hungary’s stores as part of the Treasures of the Regions program.
“When the Treasures of the Regions initiative was launched in 2021, our goal was to bring domestic small producers and Hungarian customers closer together. To this end, we provided market access opportunities for those family businesses that were able to continuously deliver their high-quality products from within a few tens of kilometers of SPAR Hungary’s regional centers, shortening the supply chains and causing as little environmental impact as possible. Feedback from the past two years has proven that customers like these unique, typically small-batch foods, and we have created an opportunity for businesses to present them to a wider audience, not only at small farmers’ markets, but also as a partner of one of Hungary’s largest domestic store chains the products they produce. Our initiative also helped many people to reach foreign markets through the extra knowledge and experience they gained during joint work and through our mentor program. We are happy to announce that the Treasures of the Regions network has expanded to include Budapest and has become complete”
– said Márk Maczelka, head of communications at SPAR Hungary.
