Winter Invasion 2008 – focus on Budapest culture life

This year the event brought 25 500 extra guest nights to the Budapest hotels with the participation of 70 suppliers.

Following the success of the first edition of the Budapest
Winter Invasion (BWI) campaign, the HNTO, the Hotel Association of Hungary, the
Tourism Office of Budapest and the Budapest Airport, will be launched again. Between
1 December and 31 March 2008, the campaign with the same name will focus on the
programmes of the Hungarian capital and hotels will again offer 4 nights stay
for the price of 3.

Organisers are planning to further enhance the promotion of
the winter cultural events, the main target countries will be the UK, Germany,
France and Italy. The participating partners agreed that the cooperation should
be extended to the conference and incentive tourism and will join forces to
attract large events to Budapest.
