Budapest Airport: passenger traffic stagnated in January, freight traffic increased
Passenger traffic at the Liszt Ferenc International Airport stagnated in January, compared to the last months of last year, but freight traffic continued to rise – Budapest Airport told MTI.
According to the information, the Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport handled 66,148 passengers in the first month of 2021, which is a 94.3 percent decrease, compared to the same period of last year, before the coronavirus pandemic appeared in Europe.
The communication highlighted that the austerity and closures introduced by some European countries in December and January had further reduced passenger traffic in Europe. (MTI)
