Lidl customers can say goodbye to their cheap favourite item
In the spirit of environmental awareness, Lidl pays special attention to minimizing the use of plastics. The store chain set a goal in 2018 to reduce the use of plastics by 20 percent by 2025 and make 100 percent of the packaging materials for its own branded products recyclable.
In line with the company’s strategy to reduce plastic waste, it has discontinued sales of single-use plastic products, including straws, disposable plastic cups, plastic plates and cutlery, and plastic ear swabs, which it has replaced with as sustainable alternatives as possible.
