Csaba Bubenko: the trade union supports the December 24 shop closure
The trade union consistently stands for the closing of shops on December 24 and the closing of shops on Sundays – said Csaba Bubenkokó, the president of the Independent Trade Union of Commercial Workers, the president of the Egyenlő.hu trade union on Tuesday on Kossuth radio Good morning, Hungary! in his show.
He pointed out that the trade workers initiated December 24 as a day off, because families want to be together on the holiday of love.
The president of the union encouraged everyone to go shopping before the holidays and be with their families on December 24.
Csaba Bubenko emphasized that there is enormous support for the closure of shops on December 24. In cooperation with CÖF-CÖKA, they receive a lot of feedback on the point of view of customers, and according to a survey, there is about 70 percent social support for commercial workers to be at home on December 24, he added. According to the union leader, customers no longer have the first priority to “go to the store day and night”.
