Brussels is optimistic about the agricultural markets
The European Commission published its short-term forecast on the the agricultural markets on Friday. The forecast projects a positive image of production and the meat industry.
Brussels notes that last year, a record amount, 329 million tons of cereals was grown in the EU, which is 14 percent higher than the average, so this year's exports ma be 60 percent more than the average of the recent years. It is expected that this year again, especially in the third year the grain boards will bring an above-average crop, but the surplus will be more modest than previously, 6 percent. (MTI)
