Hungarian trading house opens in Brazil
On 18 September the Hungarian National Trading House Zrt. (MNKH) opened its 14th trading house, which is the first in Latin America. The new trading house is in Rio de Janeiro and at the opening ceremony György Kerekes, the CEO of MNKH told: Hungary’s goal is strengthen bilateral trade relations in Latin America. Brazil is the world’s 7th biggest economy and it is Hungary’s second biggest trading partner in the region, after Mexico. In the last few years Hungarian export to Brazil has been growing. In 2013 our export soared 23 percent from the previous year and reached the value of USD 403.3 million. In Brazil there is great demand for Hungarian products with high added value and for luxury goods, but they also need medical equipment and technology products. Cooperation in the fields of education and sports is also likely.
