Brazil, is the hit market of department store investments
According to the information of the Brazilian Store Association, last year an appropriate amount of 390 billion HUF was invested in the development of the industry. Despite the crisis, this year a further 4 percent increase is calculated.
Besides the construction and opening of new stores, the renovation of existing stores has special importance. The sector's total turnover has reached corresponding amount of 16 thousand billion HUF. The association records, nearly 73 thousand stores located in the country. The three largest chains of stores – the Carrefour, the Pao de Acucar and the Bretas – covers 38 percent of the total market – reported the Penzcentrum.hu.
