The reduction of poultry VAT may bring expanding consumption
Poultry meat consumption may increase by up to five percent, in the beginning of next year, due to the reduced VAT – Poultry Product Council’s Director believes.
Csorbai Attila believes that the reduced taxes on eggs will gain the most for the breeders. The VAT reduction on poultry meat, from 27 to 5 percent can not only increase the volume of domestic consumption, but can also increase the demand for quality products significantly: for example much more chicken thigh or chicken breast may be consumed – Magyar Hírlap wrote.
