Pernod Ricard To Launch More Products
Drinks major Pernod Ricard plans to introduce mango-flavored Absolut, a Brazilian rum by Seagram's and a premium gin brand called Beefeater 24.
Seagram’s Rum will
be launched only in the US market, in May, while Beefeater 24 will be
rolled out to the US, after initially being sold in Spain and the UK.
Absolut Mango, launched in the US, will be rolled-out to other
countries in March.
Emmanuel Babeau, Pernod's finance director,
added that the company will also focus on paying off the debt it took
on last year to acquire vodka brand Absolut. He added that the group
has no plans for acquisitions or share buybacks this year, and will
continue paying out its regular dividend.
Babeau added that
growth in emerging markets should help offset slowing business
elsewhere.
