Wine promotion support helps domestic producers access the market
A program to promote Hungarian wines domestically and abroad will soon be launched, and for the first phase, those affected can exceptionally submit their support applications between February 15 and 28 this year.
The Hungarian wine sector has strengthened in terms of quality and technological background in recent times, primarily due to programs supporting development and investment. At the same time, wine promotion support also plays a significant role in this process.
The aim of the support is to encourage responsible wine consumption and increase awareness of the geographical indications of wines. This includes, among other things, the promotion of Hungarian wine products abroad and the opportunity to participate in international events.
Hungarian wine, Hungarian wine regions, and their names (geographical indications) are part of our national, natural and cultural heritage. Applicants must prepare a planned domestic and foreign wine sector program with a sufficient number of scheduled promotional actions. Applications may be submitted by wine producers, the National Council of Mountain Villages (HNT), the mountain village organization managing the geographical indication, an association of two or more wine producers or a professional organization whose members are at least 75 percent wine producers. Support can be requested in the amount of HUF equivalent to EUR 20,000 to EUR 400,000.
