Wine Festival 2019
Budapest Wine Festival opened its gates to wine lovers for the 28th time in September. Visitors got the chance to taste several thousand wines of more than 160 Hungarian and foreign wineries. This year the festival, which attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year, focused on the Eger wine region, Bikavér and Egri Csillagok wines, plus the gastronomy and culture of the region. A so-called Wine University was also part of the programme, organised on 2 September in the MOM Cultural Centre. In the VinAgora House of Medal Winner Wines people could try the wines that had proven to be the best at the 20th VinAgora International Wine Contest. Once again there was a Charity Wine Auction too.
