Wine wanderers and sun worshipers – season opening on the Homola Wine Terrace
Homola Borterasz awaits wine and sun worshipers with its rich gastronomic program this season as well. On June 9, the Homola Winery will launch its latest program series entitled “Winemaker at the winemaker”. In the summer of 2023, the joint art project of Homola Winery and Képező, the “Paloznak Spice Garden”, will debut. The opening event on July 1st focuses on the life and work of József Egry, the painter of Balaton. The series of events taking place from July to September promises light relaxation for fans of fine arts, music and fine wines.
On June 9, the Winemaker at the Winery will launch its latest program series on the Wine Terrace of the Homola Winery. At wine parties with a family atmosphere, a guest winemaker visits the Paloznak hillside and brings his favorite wines to the exclusive event. The topic of the evening on June 9: Natural wines or conventional wines? Where should we navigate in the wine region? The first guest of the series is Dávid Bökő, a winemaker from the Balaton highlands. Winegrower Dávid Bökő graduated from the Corvinus University of Budapest with an engineering degree and then started working in the family winery.
The Bökő Cellar has been operating in the Balatonfüred-Csopak wine region since 2015, the owners carry out all the processes from grape cultivation to bottling and sales. The thematic wine dinner is complemented by the favorite items of the Homola Winery and cold dishes dreamed up by the gastronomic manager József Lovász “Domi”. The wines of the Homola Pincészet are still the result of the joint creation of head winemaker Attila Homonna and owner Szabolcs Homola. Brand ambassador Zsombor Gál will present selected items of the winery during the evening. A limited number of places are available for the wine evening, participation is subject to prior registration.
