Booking scandal: many people still complain that they owe them a large amount
Booking.com’s payment difficulties still cause problems for Hungarian accommodation providers, as explained by hvg.hu.
Although the company has said that maintenance has been completed and payments have begun, many people are still complaining that they are owed a significant amount of money. The Economic Competition Authority is launching an accelerated sectoral investigation into the debts of Booking.com, which became known at a meeting of the Parliament’s tourism subcommittee. And the tourist agency provides legal aid services to those concerned.
According to the hvg.hu article, in the middle of the week, even more accommodation providers indicated that the company still owes them, even though, in addition to the association of private accommodation providers, other accommodation providers stated that Booking.com had settled its debts.
