Bulgarian pensioners stormed the Lidl stores
Pensioners stormed Lidl stores in Bulgaria last Thursday. The stores advertised huge promotions, offering bananas and cucumbers for pennies.
In Sofia, a Lidl store opening attracted mainly pensioners living in the nearby housing estate. However, minutes after the opening the employees of the store simply could not handle the huge crowd. The security guards were unable to restrain the crowd. According to other Bulgarian news; similar crowd scenes occurred in other cities as well – írja a penzcentrum.hu.
