Bulgarian pensioners stormed the Lidl stores

Pensioners stormed Lidl stores in Bulgaria last Thursday. The stores advertised huge promotions, offering bananas and cucumbers for pennies.

In Sofia, a Lidl store opening attracted mainly pensioners living in the nearby housing estate. However, minutes after the opening the employees of the store simply could not handle the huge crowd.
