Boycott over the war in Gaza
Since the start of the Israel-Hamas war in October, US coffee chain Starbucks has appeared on several consumer boycott lists circulating on Egyptian social media.

For instance in Cairo dozens of Starbucks and McDonald’s stores that used to bustle on a weekday are completely empty today. A local soft drinks brand says its sales have tripled since the war began, because consumers are avoiding Coca-Cola and Pepsi. //
