The CEO of Kifli.hu apologized because they don’t have enough couriers
Even if Kifli.hu were to hire the couriers after the end of the kata on the first of September, the couriers clearly do not want to be employed. Contrary to expectations, only a few people said yes to the status, so Péter Klekner, the managing director of Kifli.hu, apologized on his social media page for the fact that many of their customers only receive their orders later.
“In recent days, we had to limit the number of home delivery dates available on Kifli.hu, as the company’s courier staff has significantly decreased due to the itemized tax (kata) of low-tax businesses, i.e. the change in the kata rules. Recruiting and training new colleagues takes time, therefore, we ask for customers’ patience”
– says CEO Péter Klekner in a message shared on the Kifli.hu website.
It seems that the majority of the couriers were not employees working in an involuntary relationship, but the majority of them attended school, ran other micro-enterprises, or were currently working full-time elsewhere.
