BMI: There was another expansion in October
The seasonally adjusted October value of the Purchasing Manager Index (BMI): 56.4.
Compared to the previous October values, this year’s value is higher than the long-term average for this month (52.7) and also exceeds the average of the values for this month of the previous three years (52.9).
Among the sub-indices examined in the survey, we can observe increasing sub-indices except for the delivery lead time index and the price index. The extent of the changes exceeded 16 percentage points in several cases.
The value of the employment index is 1.6 percentage points higher this month, showing expansion for the thirteenth time. In the past period, the index hovered around 50.0 points, which expanded at a faster rate in October (53.6).
