Black Friday: despite the recession, retailers expect a lot from it
Christmas bulk shopping and gift-buying is a challenge every year, but Hungary has been hit by Black Friday, Black November and Cyber Monday fever from the United States for years. Due to the economic events of this year, many people have found themselves in a difficult situation, the largest domestic organization of the e-commerce sector, the Ecommerce Hungary Association (ECH), would like to draw attention to the fact that the November promotions offer great opportunities, but only consciously during this period. worth buying.
The popular American tradition started dynamically in our country, and nowadays Black Friday is already a well-known event for Hungarian customers. Its advantages are indisputable, since selected products can be obtained at a good price (or on sale) on the designated days, and customers can also avoid the chaos that prevails in shopping centers around this time; the long lines and crowded parking garages as well. Another important point is that if the consumer buys during this period and chooses a reliable webshop, then the gifts will arrive under the tree exactly, and the traders will be available in case of complications.
According to the forecasts, a recessionary period will follow, but domestic e-retailers still believe that many people will make purchases this year as part of the big online sales. ECH staff emphasize; increased caution is essential, and the legislators also pay attention to the safety of online shopping, to reduce the deception of consumers. As a result of a legislative amendment that entered into force in May, traders must also indicate the lowest price applied in the last thirty days in addition to the discounted price.
