BKIK: 78 percent of the companies in Budapest do not have an emergency scenario
93 percent of the businesses in Budapest see the future as very unfavorable and only one fifth of them have an emergency scenario, according to the results of a quick survey of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in which nearly two thousand companies in Budapest participated. The companies surveyed responded to the crisis in a variety of ways: one-third introduced a home office, 19 percent gave their employees unpaid leave, and 12 percent ordered paid leave.
The Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry asked the companies in Budapest to fill in an online questionnaire to gain a comprehensive picture of the impact of the epidemic situation on businesses and to identify areas where the small and medium-sized businesses in the capital need the most help. So far, 1895 Budapest companies have participated in the survey, of which 83 percent are micro, 15 percent are small and medium-sized enterprises and 1 percent are large companies.
