Food price insecurity
Food price can go up and down in the forthcoming months. The exchange rate of the U.S. dollar and the changes in demand can also affect the price of the so-called soft commodities market products.
The price of cocoa in December reached its 31 year peak on the world markets, close to 3500 USD per tonne. Since then, it was decreased to 3000 USD per tonne, but the experts believe, it can change.
The price of coffee is an open question. Arabika coffee’s price at the New York commodity exchanges currently on its four months nadir. Strong USD can cause further decrease – reports Világgazdaság Online, after HB.
