Actors in business life are uncertain about achieving the climate goals
With the involvement of 1,400 senior managers from 22 countries and based on in-depth interviews, the international Smart Infrastructure business of Siemens prepared a summary report to assess where the implementation of the 2050 climate goals is, including the infrastructural transition necessary to achieve net zero carbon dioxide emissions, i.e. decarbonization.
The study points out that intelligent sustainability developments would be urgent, and that business actors would expect positive effects beyond emission reduction. However, in terms of priorities and means, there is no perfect harmony, and uncertainty about the future and the reality of achieving the goals is typical.
