Mastercard launches biometric cash register program
Mastercard is launching a biometric cash register program based on portrait and fingerprint readings, the global financial technology company told MTI.
According to Mastercard, the initiative requires fewer waiting times at checkouts and is more secure than other payment solutions.
In their statement, they argue that three-quarters of consumers worldwide are open to biometric technology. The market for contactless biometric technology is projected to reach 18.6 billion HUF by 2026. (MTI)
