British restaurants will be closed and the government will pay most of the wages
The British government has ordered the closure of restaurants to curb the epidemic caused by the new coronavirus – Prime Minister Boris Johnson said at a news conference.
Finance Minister Rishi Sunak also attended a press conference on Downing Street, who announced that the government will reimburse employers for 80 percent of their employees’ wages due to the economic impact of the epidemic if the companies do not lay off them. (Kertész Róbert, MTI)
