The last Austrian cigarette factory to be closed
Austria Tabak will close its factory in Austria The Japanese owner transfers the production to another country. Negotiations are still underway over the new site selection.
With the factory closure in Hainburg 320 jobs will lost, including 240 directly in the factory, and 80 in the headquarters in Vienna. In the other three plants of the group, the production was already stopped earlier. The factory exported 60 percent of its products – reports hvg.hu, after MTI.
