Anna Fürdő in Szeged and a part of Zsóry Fürdő in Mezőkövesd are also closing
This year, more than a quarter of wellness spas and hotels may close due to high utility bills.

Those who don’t raise their prices may close
Anna Fürdő in Szeged will close on December 19, and according to the plans, they will certainly not reopen until March 3. However, the privately owned Napfényfürdő Aquapolis, also located in Szeged, will not close, but from October 15 they will also suspend classes. and operation of swimming pools. From October 17, for similar reasons, the swimming pool and adventure spa in the Zsóry Spa building in Mezőkövesd will be closed indefinitely. The rest of the spa (ie the spa pools, jacuzzi and children’s pools) will remain open.
At the same time, the Zalakaros spa, which lives specifically on tourism, will not be closed. According to 24.hu, the decision-makers of the settlement (the mayor and key players in tourism) have come to the conclusion that the closure of the spa would affect the tourism of the entire settlement, and they do not want that. There are 335 private accommodations and 14 hotels in the settlement, and most of the guests like to take a dip in the local spa. On the other hand, the hotels of the settlement cannot bear the utility prices: the Hotel Napfény Zalakaros, for example, will close on November 6, and the other hotels will try to get through the winter with a 30-60 percent price increase, reports Telex.
