The best chefs in public sector catering
Eurest Budapest was the team that won the ‘Public Sector Catering Competition 2017-2018’ on 9 February. The National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH) and the National Association of Public Sector Catering Service Providers (KÖZSZÖV) organised the competition. In three rounds 52 teams competed, from which 12 reached the final that was part of the Sirha Budapest trade exhibition’s programme.
The runner-up was Eurest Győr and the bronze medal went to Hungast Pécs. The best experts were members of the jury that evaluated the menus cooked by participants, e.g. János Szatmári, Károly Gulyás, András Wolf, Frigyes Vomberg and György Ambrus. In the culinary trade the prestige of the public sector catering competition is growing. //
