Spring is also coming to life at Lake Balaton: ice cream parlors around the lake will open for the weekend of March 15, and in many places they will be welcoming tourists with ice creams inspired by the national colors.

Raspberry, vanilla and pistachio dumplings may even be served in a red-white-green combination, indicating that the ice cream season has officially begun on the shores of Lake Balaton, thanks to which more one-day visitors may come to the region – said Tamás Fekete, president of the Balaton Tourism Association.
