The summer harvesting works in Békés were finished
The summer harvesting works have been completed in Békés County, farmers are not expected to make a big profit this year – the secretary of the Békés County Agricultural Producers’ Association told MTI on Thursday.
Barabás Béla said that this year there were big differences in yields in the county, yielding 3-8 tons of winter wheat per hectare. In North-Békés the average yield was 0.5 to 1 ton better than the average of many years, but its quality was weaker, with only 40-45 percent eating or euro wheat. (MTI)
