Beef’s price is rising slowly
Data from the Agricultural Economics Research Institute (AKI) and KSH’s market price information system (PÁIR) revealed that on the 27th week of 2017 eggs cost EUR 1.16 at the place of packaging in the European Union, 12 percent more than a year earlier. On the 28th week of the year M- and L-size eggs were sold for HUF 23.11/piece at the place of packaging in Hungary – it cost 24 percent more than on the same week of 2016.
In Hungary the live weight production price of young bulls was HUF 787/kg in June 2017 – 4 percent more than in June 2016. Cows’ price rose by 14 percent and heifers were purchased from breeders for 32 percent more. In Hungary the production price of raw milk was HUF 90.95/kg in June 2017, 38 percent more than in June 2016. Raw milk’s export price was HUF 102.02/kg – 12 percent higher than in May 2017 and 61 percent more than in June 2016. //
