Bankmonitor: The savings of the Hungarians are below the Western European average
On average, Hungarians have savings of 2.1 million HUF per capita. This amount is significantly below the Western European average of 23.9 million HUF and significantly lower than the Central and Eastern European region’s average of 3 million HUF – according to the survey of Bankmonitor. hu published on Tuesday.
The trade portal, referring to the latest data from the OECD wrote that an average Hungarian has savings equal to an average salary of of 2.7 year.
In this respect, Hungary was ranked the second place among the Central and Eastern European countries, behind the Czech Republic (savings equal to 3.2 year salary). (MTI)
