The Hungarian honey market is in trouble
Due to falling European demand and the cheaper Ukrainian, Romanian and Bulgarian competitors, there is no demand for Hungarian honey – Világgazdaság Online reports.
Although accurate data on honey production and domestic consumption are not available and import statistics are unavailable, on the basis of the market situation it seems that honey exports will be reduced this year. This is caused by the lack of demand, not the weaker crop than last year – Fazekas Gyula, president of the Hungarian Honey Traders and Honey Packers Association told Világgazdaság. (vg.hu)
