In this year’s 176th shipping season, the passenger ships and ferries of Balatoni Hajózási Zrt. (Bahart) transported 1 million passengers until mid-July, last year this was achieved two weeks later by the company, which expects record traffic this year as well – according to the company’s press release sent to MTI on Friday.

The ferry service of Bahart, which is majority owned by the state, between Szántód and Tihany carried half a million passengers until July 3. The busiest day of the year so far was July 16, when more than 16,000 people traveled on the 4 ferries. (MTI)
