Experts expect persistently high or rising pork prices, which theoretically can increase the domestic livestock, that has been shrinking for years. However, the “one sow – a house” program, if it would be implemented, would not be able to provide raw material for the meat industry.
According to KSH figures published yesterday; between January-August of 2011 a 14.4 percen price increase occurred at live animals and animal products and 40.6 percent price increase at herbal products, compared to the same period of the last year.
