The tourist traffic has continued to grow during the holidays
According to the preliminary data, the tourist trafficcontinued to increase during the holidays, Budapest has become one of the most popular destinations in Europe – Ruszinkó Ádám, Deputy Minister of State of the Ministry of National Economy (NGM) told at a press conference held in the Gellért Spa in Budapest on Thursday.
He called it notable that not only the number of guests increased, but the composition also changed favorably, towards high-paying guests. During the holidays, the occupancy rate of four- and five-star hotels in Budapest was above 90 percent, and the ratio was between 60-80 percent in the countryside as well – he explained. (MTI)
