Unilever’s profit increased by 39 percent
The British-Dutch Unilever increased its profits by 39 percent in the year's second quarter, compared to a year earlier. The company’s after-tax profit was 1.15 billion euros, compared to the 833 million euros of last year's second quarter.
The world's third largest food and consumer goods manufacturer's revenue increased by 12.4 percent to 11.75 billion euros in the quarter. Thomson Reuters analysts' expected 1 billion euros after-tax profits and 10.22 billion euros revenues.
Unilever is present in approximately 150 countries. Its Hungarian subsidiary was established in 1991. The company operates three factories and employs a total of 970 people in Hungary – reports ProfitLine.hu.
