A quarter of autumn wheat is already in the storages
A quarter of the nearly one million hectares of winter wheat in the country are already in the storehouses; This year’s average yield will be around 5.2 tonnes per hectare – the Minister of Agriculture said in Kisújszállás.
Fazekas Sándor said that wheat production of this quantity and quality was unimaginable a few years ago. That is why he expressed gratitude to the farmers, without whom – as he said – there would be no solution to the country’s bread, feed and seed supply. (MTI)
