Japan is slowly running out of credit card combinations
In Japan, since the start of the new type of coronavirus pandemic, credit card use has started to grow to such an extent that newly issued cards are slowly running out of possible combinations of code numbers – origo wrote. They need to find some solution to the situation, because this form of payment is likely to continue in the future.
According to the article of Guardian, the spread of electronic payments was helped by the Japanese government’s campaign launched in October last year, in addition to the changed consumer habits due to the pandemic and the increase in the general consumption tax from 8 to 10 percent. The campaign promotes cash-saving payments. (origo)
