Az online kiskereskedelmi értékesítés aránya 15 százalékra nőtt a régióban
The proportion of online sales in retail has increased to 15 percent in Central and Eastern Europe, which is an increase of 9 percentage points compared to five years earlier, CBRE, the commercial real estate and investment group, informed MTI on Thursday.
In the announcement, they indicated that, according to their forecast, the proportion of online sales in the region will reach 20 percent in four years. Among the countries in the region, the slowest growth rate of e-commerce was recorded in Hungary at 10 percent, and according to the forecast, the rate of expansion will reach 13 percent by 2026.
The Czech Republic and Poland have the highest rates of e-commerce; according to the company’s forecast, this proportion may reach 24 percent in the Czech Republic and 23 percent in Poland by 2026. They pointed out that the most popular categories of goods purchased online include electronics with a 14 percent market share, and clothing and footwear with 10 percent of all purchases.
The line between online and offline shopping is blurring more and more, a new trend can be observed in retail, the so-called “omnichannel”, during which different sales channels are combined – they pointed out. In accordance with the new trend, the growth of online retail channels is accompanied by an increase in the number of brick-and-mortar stores. According to CBRE forecasts, by 2026 this market sector can reach a 10 percent growth.
