The imports of Italian wines are declining continuously
The imports of Italian wines are declining continuously – after the 27 million euros in 2013, this year until August imports amounted to only 7 million euros – while Hungarian exports are growing – Czerván György, Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture on Wednesday.
The Hungarian wine exports in 2014 amounted to 80 million euros, in 2015 82 million euros until August this year amounted to 49 million euros – he explained.
He also added that there are reserves in the increasing of the domestic wine consumption. Hungary’s annual wine consumption per capita was between 20.6 to 25.9 liters of in the period 2011-2015, while French drank 42.3 to 44.8 liters and Italians drank 34.1 to 38.7 liters in the same period. (MTI)
