Inflation is at a 34-year high in the OECD
In the countries belonging to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), consumer prices rose by an average of 8.8 percent in March after an increase of 7.8 percent in February. This is the highest growth rate since October 1988. Last March, annual inflation was 2.4 percent.
In March of this year, double-digit inflation will be recorded in every fifth country, with the most significant price increase in Turkey, at 61.1 percent.
According to the OECD website, annual inflation in Hungary was 8.5 percent in March, after 8.3 percent in February. (MTI)
